The Silver Coast Region

The Costa Prata or Silver Coast region of Portugal is listed as the number three investment region in Channel 4's "A Place In the Sun". (see the Channel 4 website here)

The Silver Coast has been given a minimum predicted return rate of 361% over ten years compared with the number one position of Romania at 414%. If you consider political and economical stability to be factors in your choice of investment, then Portugals Silver Coast region must outweigh Romania! Take a trip to both areas and ask yourself where you would prefer to own a villa, or RENT a villa (if you are considering letting out your investment). You also need to own and maintain a Romanian Limited company if you wish to invest in that area.

Visit Portugals Silver Coast region and you will fall in love with the beautiful rolling hills of vineyards and olive trees, gorgeous white sand beaches and fascinating and picturesque medieval towns and villages.

The area has seen a 20% growth in property prices in the last 12 months. The new A8 motorway from Lisbon (where you will find a modern international airport serviced by low cost airlines) takes you to the Silver Coast in under an hour.

Why is this region a good place to invest?

The region has been made easily accessible from Lisbon international airport by the A8 Motorway (a toll road - have 5 euros ready before you leave the airport). An easy one hours drive from the airport through beautiful countryside takes you to the heart of the Silver Coast region. At the moment, the only traffic delays you will encounter are the five or ten minutes in Lisbon, as soon as you reach the motorway you will not encounter another traffic jam until you return to Lisbon at the end of your trip!
Road infrastructure and investment has not ended with the A8 motorway. The IP6, which just opened in 2007 takes you straight from the A8 to Peniche on the coast and opens up the area even further.
